The University of Thessaly and the Faculty of Medicine invites interested parties to apply to attend the Master's Graduate ProgramVascular Ultrasound in Diagnosis and Management” for the academic year 2026-2027.

OVERVIEW
If you're a clinician or a medical scientist who wants training in the theory and practice of vascular ultrasound, this course is for you.
Through online teaching sessions, webinars and in-person practice, you'll gain a solid grounding in the physics and scientific theories of vascular ultrasound.
On the course, you'll have the opportunity to develop the practical skills to perform a diagnostic ultrasound.
This expertise will support your career in healthcare system overall or urge you to go into further research and PhD studies.
OBJECTIVE
The Postgraduate Program "Vascular Ultrasound in Diagnosis and Management" aims to cultivate and promote through academic and applied teaching and research the high-level training of researchers and health professionals in the preventive control, diagnosis and functional investigation of vascular diseases and postoperative follow-up. It also helps to enhance skills in minimally invasive ultrasound-guided vascular
treatment. Finally, it provides its Graduates with the necessary skills that will ensure their excellent training for their academic scientific and research careers internationally.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon completion of the master's degree program, students will have specialized knowledge and skills in the use of ultrasound for the prevention and diagnosis of vascular (arterial and venous) diseases, which will be useful in their professional careers. They will also have the opportunity to participate in innovative collaborative research activities, which will produce new knowledge, useful for various clinical applications in the field of vascular diseases. Finally, they will have the skills to meet the requirements of undertaking a doctoral dissertation
and scientific publications.
Evaluation of applicants is based on the following criteria:
- Overall Bachelor's degree grade
- Recognized professional experience related to the use of ultrasound which is
evidenced by certificates or attestations of (Public) Insurance Institution - Knowledge of English. The proficiency of the foreign language will be evidenced
by a similar degree, certificates or examinations to be defined by the CC - Scientific relevance (dealing with cardiovascular diseases) to the subject of the
program
The supporting documents that candidates should submit are:
- Application for Participation (available on the MSc website)
- Detailed curriculum vitae (according to the template you will find on the MSc website)
- A copy of the degree or confirmation that the candidate has fulfilled his/her educational obligations. (In case of foreign university graduates, the recognition of the institution's title is based on the provisions of art. 304, par. 4 and 5 and art. 307 of Law 4957/21-7-2022. )
- Copy of Transcript of Records
- Scientific publications, distinctions, and evidence of research activity (if any)
- Evidence of relevant professional experience (if any)
- Two letters of recommendation
- Two-sided photocopy of the identity card or passport.
- Proof of knowledge of foreign languages officially translated.
- One ID-type photo

The tuition fee for the MSc is €5,000. Postgraduate studies begin in the fall semester. The duration of studies is three semesters. The number of postgraduate students annually admitted to the program is set at a maximum of thirty (30).
