"Our action as a whole is aimed at highlighting the common pages of history, which connect the two Orthodox peoples, Greeks and Russians, with centuries-old ties of historical, cultural and spiritual proximity and refer to the ideas of the Orthodox East, with a common mentality and perception of man and the world, which are based on the universal, timeless and universal values and ideals of consistency, faith in duty, love, true virtue and are traced back to the texts of our ancient classics, from Antigone's message of universal love, responding in Creon's threats "...thus they came together, but they were reconciled...".
Generally speaking, the quantity and quality of the events held by the Center for Greek Culture - K.E.P. responds to and meets the requirements of a NATIONAL CENTER OF CULTURE, worthy of the enormous cultural legacy of Greece. Our work is governed by passion, passion, zeal, it is based on the consistency of a small group of Maicens, the enthusiasm and self-sacrifice of our executives and small staff, the professionalism and zeal of the teachers and artistic directors of our Groups, in love and support of our audience, Greeks and Philhellenes, in their sincere love for their cultural heritage ΕGreek Κsmell, which feed us with wings of creation and energy to continue tirelessly and improve our efforts!!!
The K.E.P. it really constitutes a national capital in the friendly Orthodox country, a legacy, which, in essence, is a definitive development in the dynamics of the development of relations between our two Orthodox peoples, Greeks and Russians, a definitive development of the historical, spiritual and cultural community of our peoples.
We are called together to guard what was created with love, expresses the Greeks and Philhellenes, resonates and responds to Russian society. It is a matter of collective responsibility, because the product of the K.E.P. it is collective, its indicator of usefulness for the whole, for the general public, is obvious".
1. Greek language courses
With undiminished interest on the part of the public, Greeks and Philhellenes, for seventeenth (17η) continuous academic year (2021-2022) language teaching took place on a daily basis in a hybrid format [live and online]. In September 2021 they worked 28 language segments [20 Greek language classes for adults, 2 children's classes for Russian-speaking children and 6 children's classes for Greek-speaking children], while from the spring of 2022 an additional 9 classes have been operating, as a result of which the number of our classes has reached a total of 37 classes.
In the circumstances of the restrictive measures due to the corona virus pandemic, immediately, from March 2020, we transferred our courses to distance teaching, so that our educational-enlightening operation could continue uninterrupted.
In the current summer 2022, 5 language departments also operated.
Already since 2007 the K.E.P. it is also staffed with a Greek teacher-philologist, seconded in Moscow, from the Ministry of National Education and Religious Affairs. In April 2018, we were also staffed with a seconded teacher, specialized in Greek traditional dances and experiential workshops.
After consultations in recent years, the Greek language was re-incorporated in September 2019 into the program of Moscow State Linguistic University [after a break of over 20 years], while from September 2018 we included the Greek language as optional in the program of the Moscow State Pedagogical University and Municipal Pedagogical University of Moscow.
2. Dance lessons - choir - singing - theater workshop
Courses have been running since the spring of 2006 Greek traditional dance, for children and adults. Our professors, a seconded teacher of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs of Greece in Moscow, at the request of the K.E.P., as well as a Russian teacher.
Since September 2018, the 3rd has been operating Children's Theater Workshop of the Center for Greek Culture (KEP) with the artistic director of the Russian director, an ardent Philhellene Georgiy Chervinsky (Russian director, artistic director of the "Studia-69" theater, graduate of the Leningrad University of Culture "Nadezhda Krupskaya").
