In a statement, the minister said, "During these two years, the ministry has put industrial property at the center of efforts for the advancement of industrial research in Greece, the advancement of patents, scientific research and its utilization in commercial applications. I am also pleased to inform you again today of a long-standing request from OBI, which was the transfer of Trademarks to its portfolio. This has already been done and will be completed in the coming months. I also congratulate all the extroversion and the actions presented by OBI during the last two years. What we are trying to do in the start-up ecosystem is to take the applied research and transform it into a business practice. We will be with you until we have the result we want, and from what I see from the people who participate today, the event of the Industrial Property Organization was crowned with absolute success ".
Afterwards, Deputy Minister of Development and Investment Nikos Papathanasis spoke, thanked the Chairman of the Board of OBI Dimitris Chronis, as well as its members and stressed that "from the first moment we believe in the work and the work they do. I want to dwell on 3 points: The great value of industrial property as in the context of the pandemic, such important inventions protected and shielded our health. The second point is to understand where we are as a country and where we need to go. Innovation and research are at the core of the work we want them to do. The third point is our young people, the significant potential that exists in our Europe at the moment. "Many new companies are coming to our country at the moment because we have something that other countries do not have."
