Yesterday, President Donald J. Trump and Apple CEO Tim Cook announced that the company will increase its overall investment in the United States by 600 billions of dollars over the next four years, moving additional parts of the supply chain and advanced manufacturing back to the U.S. This investment includes a new American Industrial Production Program Apple's initiative that aims to encourage its suppliers and partners to accelerate domestic manufacturing — directly creating 20.000 new American jobs, and many more through its partners.
President Trump, flanked by Tim Cook, Vice President J.D. Vance, Treasury Secretary Scott Besant, and Commerce Secretary Howard Latnick, made the investment announcement in the Oval Office on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
President Trump stated:
"For years, Americans have watched as big tech giants built factories overseas and exported American jobs. But under our administration, we are doing everything we can to make America the best place in the world to build a factory and grow a business."
Tim Cook added:
"We will continue to invest here, hire here, and build our technologies here, because we are a proud American company and we believe deeply in the promise of this great nation. Thank you, President Trump, for putting American innovation and American jobs front and center."
