The Greek Community of Melbourne (ECM) is pleased to announce the return of the Greek Summer Camp as part of its cultural programs for 2025.
In collaboration with the Consulate General of Greece in Melbourne and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece, the camp will take place from 11 to 20 July 2025 and will offer participants the opportunity to visit some of Greece's most famous cities, such as Athens, Thessaloniki and Kavala.
The program aims to strengthen participants' connection with their cultural identity through guided tours, cultural workshops and educational activities.
The Greek Community of Melbourne has been implementing this program in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece since 2022, having already sent over 80 young people to Greece. O ANastassios Sgardelis, a member of the Board of Directors of the Greek Cultural Centre, said: “I would highly recommend this to any young Greek Australian who is passionate about their heritage. You will make lifelong friendships, have the opportunity to connect more deeply with your Greek identity and have a unique experience exploring Greece.”
The Greek Community of Melbourne is looking for 11 young Greek-Australians, aged 18 to 25, to participate in this unique program. Applications will open next week.
