A storm of reactions has been caused by the post of Mr. Polakis, former Deputy Minister of Health, in which he disputes whether the vaccines, such as that of Johnson & Johnson and Astra Zeneca, cover the Delta mutation.
New Democracy's statement on this publication is as follows:
Mr. Polakis, in his new online anti-vaccine crescent, states, among other things, that "the Delta variant is practically not covered at all by the Astra and Johnson vaccines".
Completely ignoring global research, at a time when the whole society and the scientific world are coordinating the fight for vaccination, which is the only tool to stop the pandemic and regain our freedom, the doctor and former Deputy Minister of Health continues the dangerous and health sabotage spreading fake news.
This post by Mr. Polakis is the definition of the spread of false news with a risk to public health. What research proves his claims? On the basis of what scientific evidence does he speak? The question is simple: Does the former Deputy Minister of Health Mr. Polakis express the position of SYRIZA?
