Regarding the international stance of the Turkish leadership, it is curious that the media, either out of ignorance or purpose, do not realistically focus their criticism on the background of its real motivations.
There is no need to refer to old stories of barbaric invasions and conquests of Turkey, genocides, destruction of cultural monuments, etc., which are well known.
We will focus - epigrammatically - on its attitude after WW2 where it strives in every way to become a "Superpower" by playing political theater against the Great Powers, and in various tableaus, in order to blackmail and win what it wants. She also volunteers as a lever, a decoy, a provocateur-thug in the powerful's tragic game of "Divide and Conquer", trying - successfully - to influence the Balance of Power by serving herself and the Powerful in the perpetual "sport" of power-mongering and profiteering by the trade in weapon systems, raw materials, drugs, refugees, etc.
But there is another important aspect of the Turkish leadership's fascist policy. Turkey is a multi-ethnic patchwork where in the approximately 80 million population there are many millions of Kurds, Armenians, crypto-Christians, Jews, etc. Therefore, the Turkish leaders, considering this very sensitive and vulnerable population composition and the consequences in the event of a genuine democratic regime, where the Kurds - approximately 30 million - would claim a homeland within Turkish territory and enjoy the same rights and privileges, and perhaps, if there is a reaction from the Turkish leadership, a civil war will be caused, they have imposed a strict fascist, phobic regime where the opposition - many of democratic beliefs - are murdered, imprisoned, end up as refugees. At the same time, the Turkish leadership creates a climate of war with attacks on other countries in the Middle East, causing a feeling of insecurity and fear so that any internal reaction is extremely difficult. This does not serve the warmongering circles of Powerful Powers, who tolerate them and not only that, they especially make it easier for her to appear - listen, listen - as a peacemaker! MERCY!
And the deafening end of the theatrics, cynicism and hypocrisy of the Turkish leadership is the fact that it accuses Israel of genocide so that the international community will forget or ignore (if possible! G.HORTON!) its own unheard of genocides.
At the same time, in cooperation with other non-democratic regimes in the region (Albania, Skopje) it continues an "undeclared war" against Greece and the Republic of Cyprus, unfortunately with the guilty tolerance of the EU and NATO (which is trying to replace the UN) in violation of the Charter of the UN, International Law etc.
Therefore, the tragic, unfortunately, conclusion is that certain members of NATO and the EU are jointly responsible for the imperialist, fascist policy of the Turkish leadership, who, obviously, with the above leadership as a lever, bait, thug, cause conflicts, etc. in which the immoral and anti-democratic interests of their warmongering circles invest. And peace and democracy chimeras! Finally, is it because of the above and the cynical international indifference to the war tragedies in Ukraine, Gaza, etc. are we headed to G'PP?
