In an announcement, the Education Department of the Movement for Change notes that,
"The final results of the nationwide exams showed the impasse of the access system from its first application. Many candidates, who wrote well or relatively well, are out of university, while many vacancies remain. "The government's policy reflects its class vision, the strategy of a social transformation with its conscious choice to retreat from the conquest of the democratization of knowledge, which was an emblematic point of reference for the PASOK governments."
He criticizes the government because in a difficult period for society it implemented, "an access system, which leads to a violent increase in the number of candidates, who are excluded from the perspective of the university." "The application of the Minimum Admission Base (EBE) in such a difficult year made it very difficult for the candidates, who experienced the experience of preparation, but also of the examination in unprecedented conditions. The sloppiness of the arrangement is reflected in the fact that university departments are left without freshmen. At the same time, the Colleges can accept any candidate, without EBE, without scientific supervision by the state, with only "qualification" of high tuition fees and with the reward of the professional equivalence of their diplomas with university degrees ".
The Department of Education of the Movement for Change goes on to say, “the rationalization of the University Charter must be prioritized as a basic public policy. The State, through an organized plan - with scientific competence and social understanding - to develop a strategy both for the way of introduction, and mainly for how we will connect our Universities with the needs of tomorrow so that research, innovation, but also culture to be the roadmap for the future. "A progressive reform in education must be linked to the implementation of the 'National Baccalaureate' in the Lyceum with the completion of a cycle of substantial education, for the final solution of the problem of access to higher education".
