As expected, the Vellideo Conference Center where Prime Minister K. Mitsotakis' Speech was given at the opening of the 86th TIF, was full.
His agenda included announcements on the current economic situation, support measures, studies on subsidies and support for the vulnerable class of citizens.
Among the 21 measures to support Greek society, a reference was made to the 250 euro allowance that 2.300.000 Greeks will receive in December, while beneficiaries of the Minimum Guaranteed Income will receive one more installment. Beneficiaries of the Child Benefit will receive an additional 1,5 installments. The Solidarity Levy is abolished which is expected to satisfy 2,7 million taxpayers. An increase in the pensions of 1 million pensioners was also announced.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis said in his speech: "The measures I am announcing today, extraordinary for the rest of 2022 and permanent from 2023, add up to approximately 5,5 billion euros, not including the monthly electricity subsidy for everyone. They are coming to be added to the almost 50 billion that the state has allocated as an embankment in the successive crises".

With clear references to a "demagogic tactic" of the opposing side, the prime minister declared that today our country is stronger than ever. "The national stake continues to pervade time, remaining one: that through changing conditions the land shall be free, sovereign, and independent, and its citizens shall prosper, breathing the air of a democracy that protects them and affords them opportunities to create for them and their families".
