The Greek Community Schools of Melbourne continue to offer quality educational experiences and enhance the Greek language skills of the community's children, even during the school holidays.
On Wednesday, September 24, the first week of the holidays, students will have the opportunity to visit the Hellenic Museum of Melbourne, where they will be guided through the historic building, explore the exhibits and create original constructions.
The following are two specially designed museum education workshops, for children aged 5–10, which will take place on Monday 29 September in Huntingdale and Thursday 2 October in Balwyn North.
The program entitled "I Learn Through the Exhibits – History and Arts for Children" invites young participants to become researchers and explorers. Through interactive games, inspired by the museum's exhibits, they will learn about important moments in Greek history and discover basic principles of painting and sculpture. At the same time, they will cultivate creativity, observation and a love of learning, actively enhancing the use of the Greek language.

Activities Program:
- Wednesday 24 September, 10:00 am–1:00 pm – Hellenic Museum, Melbourne CBD
- Monday 29 September, 9.00- 12.00 or 9.00- 3.00– Huntingdale
- Thursday 2 October, 00- 12.00 or 9.00- 3.00 – Balwyn North
