In our time, Greek men and women who want to succeed at home or abroad, starting with our country, in a multitude of fields, from the arts, letters, sciences, research, technology to start-ups start the their first steps speculating against their homeland, Greece. These "prophets", who still want to identify themselves as saints, in a hell, which is created exclusively by the actors and rulers of our country, are arguing with blatant articles in the media and in the social media, that Greece is impoverished, deplorable and corrupt.
These Greek men and women, who unfortunately for our nation are too many, admire the ancient Greek cultural heritage in an unlimited and uncreative way, bordering on paranoia. At the same time they refer abroad as a whole, as in paradise – they probably don't know what it means to live in a really poor and unfree country! They also never forget to mention that we gave the light to the civilization of the West. In fact, they remind us in every public statement that the Europeans owe us everything. This is not true, even though the West owes a lot to our nation from ancient times to the present day. According to them, the fact in question does not mean that it makes us too Europeans. When they refer to the other Europeans – according to the writer we are also Europeans – they do not include our people in them.
At present, however, again according to them, we are nothing, and these "prophets", according to their words, are all that is left of the yeast of ancient greatness until today, which slowly over time over time it frays and disappears into nothingness, leading all of Greece to annihilation, nihilism and oblivion.
But the truth is much more complicated. Greece is not poor, nor on the brink of the cliff, in all areas, as false prophets and modern neo-martyrs claim. Greece is very rich, but with money that is not hard earned. What I mean; Here I would like to rave about the economic situation of our country, with the meaning derived from a piece of a poetry collection by Rimbaud: weakness or strength to be strength? Should easy wealth be wealth or poverty? Of course, everyone understands that I am unfortunately talking about what we call "heavy industry"." of our country: tourism. Today in Greece almost everyone and everything works for tourism, from manufacturing and shipping, to culture.
The vast majority of our people have learned to live on easy profit. Our people are filled with arrogance from easy wealth. They all forgot the most characteristic features of our people, "Greek hospitality" and "philotimos". Greek men and women also ignore the saying, through a book by the Russian author Fyodor Dostoyevsky, which states that: knowledge of the laws of happiness is superior to happiness. Our people have only happiness. If he loses her unfortunately he will not know how to win her back.
Unfortunately for our country, most Greek men and women have turned into racists: socially, religiously and racially, in such a way that even the great social institutions, which were supposed to provide work, abuse, committing atrocities, defenseless victims, with practices foreign and unknown to our nation, just a few decades ago, when the Greek economic miracle was underway. The fact of moral bankruptcy can also be seen from the sales of the books. The sales in question are addressed only with optimistic predictions to 2% of the country's population, including those who are forced to buy books for their profession. The fall of Greece is not economic, as we have a very good plot of land on the planet, with a wonderful climate and natural beauties which is bearing fruit. The fall of Greece is moral. We have failed as humans, and this is even worse.
California could be an example of how Greece could operate within the EU. In addition to tourism and the entertainment industry – both of which Greece is doing well – it should develop a robust, outward-looking , technological production. Also, our country must become an international hub for the development of science, shipbuilding, energy, industry, as well as defense technology. Fortunately, the possibility and the political will exist. The first steps have already been taken. That is why Greece is not a poor, deplorable and corrupt country. However, there is no need for complacency. The effort must be continued and intensified, and grafted with knowledge, so that it yields benefits, and from then on, let's have the tourism industry as well, bringing us money, but without being our only income.
