Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) and on the occasion of World Alzheimer's Month, is organizing the Alzheimer Festival 2025.

The Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 September, for the third consecutive year, the Alzheimer Society of Athens, In cooperation with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), organize the Alzheimer's Festival 2025. From 11.00 to 21.00, In Lighthouse of the SNFCC and with free admission For everyone, the Alzheimer Festival 2025 includes a series of scientific talks, interactive events, as well as advocacy and advocacy actions, with the aim of providing substantial support to the dementia community, as well as informing and raising public awareness about Alzheimer's disease.

This year's event, always in the context of September as World Alzheimer's Month, has as its central theme "Designing a better future for people with dementia and their caregivers". The main areas of discussion concern prevention methods, the importance of early diagnosis, new etiological treatments for Alzheimer's disease, the contribution of Artificial Intelligence in the context of non-pharmaceutical treatments and, of course, supporting the rights of patients and caregivers in Greece.

The President of the Alzheimer Society of Athens and President of the National Observatory for Dementia, Dr. Paraskevi Sakkas and many other distinguished scientists and researchers in the field of dementia will take the speakers' podium and talk to the audience.

At the center of the event will be caregivers of people with dementia, shedding light with their testimonies on the difficulties of everyday life in the battle with Alzheimer's disease.

The Alzheimer Festival 2025 is innovating, launching personalized counseling sessions for caregivers, while during it, again this year, free memory tests will be held for people over 60 years of age.

At specially designed kiosks, health professionals from the Alzheimer Society of Athens will provide information on the available support structures and services for people with dementia and their families, on the importance of quality nutrition and good physical condition in the treatment of dementia, and on the solutions offered by Artificial Intelligence applications in the daily lives of sufferers.

Alzheimer's disease organizations and institutions from all over Greece will also be present at the Alzheimer Festival 2025, joining forces with the Alzheimer Society of Athens in this great open call for awareness and support for people with dementia in Greece.
