Brothers, expatriates and philhellenes.
In America there is a Radio station called Greek Radio FL. This means that the Greek voice grew and grew and your own voice of the Greeks of America but also of the Greeks of all the Greeks everywhere on earth.
As members of the Radio Museum, when we learned that the Greek program of the Voice of America had stopped, we thought that it was now necessary for the Greek Radios to be strengthened so that the Greek language could be heard everywhere.
Greece has a very interesting history in world radio. It may not be known to many, but since 1927 we have also been showing the achievements of our compatriots who wrote their own history in the field of Radio.
Christos Tsiggirisis, the pioneer who since 1927 with an antenna from the White Tower of Thessaloniki makes the first radio show in the Balkans and in 1928 now broadcasts a regular program as a pioneer in the South East. Europe.
The history of Radio in Greece has a didactic character and this rich modern technological heritage exists inside the Museum of Radio, complete with rare exhibits worldwide.
As a Museum, we record the stations and we cooperate with bodies that in turn control and record the data of the independence and honesty of all the Greek Radio Stations so that we can continue in our turn the evolution of the Radio.
The Greek program of the pilot Balkan multilingual Radio Strimonika is controlled by the Radio Museum, carrying out a very interesting research that is watched by several thousand people and it is no coincidence that it has two main partners, the Hellenic Media Group Voluntary Journalism Network and Greek Radio FL.
As a Radio Museum this holiday season to reward the effort of Greek Radio FL that makes the whole team have a full quality program of entertainment and informative content we donate a series of radio history shows with the hope of maintaining its independence, serving the good of the citizens at any cost, as the late Christos Tsiggiridis had done and as we do, who with a great struggle without help, continue to serve the Free Radio honestly.
