A verse from the second psalm of the prophet David, who lived in the 10th century BC, that is, 3000 years ago from today. The psalm was written with the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit, addressed to his contemporaries and, through them, to all people until the end of the world.
David wanted to prepare the people to receive the God-Man on earth, after first believing and keeping the commandments of God the Father. As a means, he proposes Education. Act, he writes, that is, seize Education, study it in depth to find the truth and the Truth will set you free. The psalmist proclaims true Education thousands of years ago and not sterile and ossified knowledge for the discovery of the Truth.
Real science does not contradict Orthodoxy. On the contrary, they agree. There are, of course, those who deny this point of view, without having serious arguments. They simply deny the Truth. The cultivation of real Education and the in-depth education of the People will lead them to avenues of real freedom, to unprecedented and liberating roads.
Take action to educate us so that we may all be informed that God created man and woman. We read about male and female and by studying nature we discover that there too there are only males and females and they come together in marriage (pair up) male and female. People's sexual preferences should not be confused with gender. Man is not just flesh to succumb to all its desires. He is also spirit and indeed divine and has reason and conscience and must be restrained.
You are educated to see that the first woman, Eve, was created by Adam to be equal to him. In the pagan world, the position of women was degraded. Christ elevated the position of women and restored them to a position of equality with men, because women are equal to men from their creation. Christ thundered it. And yet after many centuries, the so-called feminist movement was born to claim equality. What did the movement achieve?? It probably degraded women. It took away their femininity and made them a blight on men. It degraded their God-given body and, following fashion, they walk the streets half-naked, advertising their beauty. Considering her body her property, she is driven to abortions, depriving the unborn child of the opportunity to see the light of the sun, a right she herself had. Did she ask her unborn and potential child if it wants to live or not?
Equally, the two sexes with different roles complementing each other and with their free will unite to create a family with the sacred bonds of marriage. Marriage exists between people of the opposite sex with the blessing of the Church. All the rest are legal constructs, of the secular state contrary to Orthodoxy. They solve, perhaps, some social problems that are created by fashion and the influence of homicidal evil.
All this, of course, in countries that have been influenced by the spirit of Christianity (Orthodox or not). We do not hear them claiming rights for the other women who live in harems of polygamy and the burqa. In their countries they appear to be revolutionaries, but when they visit such countries they forget the revolution and conform to what is in place there.
Take action to eradicate violence from society. Young people do not have proper role models to follow. The cunning ones take care to tarnish ideals and role models. They create fashion that is contrary to the concept of homeland, Christianity, meritocracy, work, the assumption that we are all images of God created by the same hands regardless of skin color, education, gender, etc. At the same time, they project negative models, the uniqueness of some. They try to impose the exception to the general rule on others. Let us all become like them. Opposite to all logic.
We do not propose the destruction of people, but of passions. Each of us has a passion. There are and are spiritual rules that proper education would tell us. Real and not ulterior love to have for each other. Money and material things in general are a means of meeting needs and not a kind of accumulation. Did any rich or tycoon get more than two meters of land that even the poor of God gets?? Obviously not..
Much could be written about the benefits that result from a proper education. Peaceful coexistence of peoples. Mutual respect and appreciation of the person and personality. Politeness and culture. Correct social relations and families with strong ties. Societies of equality and parity, meritocracy and recognition of each person's contribution to society as a whole. Projection of correct models, especially to students and young people. Dissemination of the good of work and effort. Exemplification from the past, condemning the bad and drawing useful conclusions from the good of yesterday. Patriotism is strengthened with references to the struggles of the nation for a free homeland with faith in Christ and in the centuries-old historical contribution of the Greek nation to world culture and science. Every nation can be proud of its contribution.
In closing this text, I would suggest that schools make it necessary for a clergyman to be present on a daily basis, as is done with sociologists and psychologists. Their cooperation will be valuable for young students. Those students who wish will go, following the example of psychologists-sociologists. Many problems of society and young people are of a spiritual nature. Psychology cannot address them alone, nor can sociology. The contribution of the clergyman-clergyman will be quite large in solving the problems of everyday life and society today and in the long term.
Society will benefit greatly if it applies the verse of the psalm, "Do good deeds, do good."
