To those who think that Greece does not matter today, let me say that they could not make a bigger mistake. Today, like old Greece, is of the utmost importance for anyone looking to find himself.

Greetings to the Greek diaspora and warm wishes to you and your families. Many of you live abroad due to work, studies, marriage or because you have chosen a new chapter in your life. My path was different. I was born in Greece...

James P. Axiotis is an international television and film producer with more than forty years of experience across series, features, documentaries, and live events. A dual citizen of the United States and Greece, he was born in Athens and adopted as an infant, later growing up in California—an early life journey that shaped his lifelong belief that stories can build understanding and bring people closer. Throughout his career, James has worked across the production spectrum and is especially recognized for his strength in post-production and managing complex, deadline-driven projects. His credits include work for major networks and platforms such as FOX, NBC, Discovery, A&E, NatGeo, and Facebook Watch. He has also served in industry leadership, including two terms on the National Board of the Producers Guild of America, and is a member of the Producers Guild of Europe, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, and BAFTA's Academy Circle. James' commitment to “showing up” extends beyond entertainment and into sustained philanthropy. He has supported organizations including Haven Hills, Children of War Foundation, Project Angel Food, and Fix'n Fidos, helping fund and produce initiatives for survivors of domestic violence, refugee communities, families affected by war, and vulnerable populations in need—both in the US and internationally. In 2024, James served as Executive Producer of Another Place, a feature documentary on refugee resettlement in Europe, selected by multiple international festivals and distributed globally. He is also the founder of Legitimate Son, a production company dedicated to stories of identity and belonging. His first original project, Georgia, is a narrative short based on the true story of his birth mother and his adoption in Athens, currently in development for production in Greece. Today, James continues to move between commercial production and impact-driven storytelling, guided by a core conviction: stories can heal, honor, and hold people together.
