Panos Kaloudas was born in Alexandria, Egypt. In 1961 a student of the XNUMXnd grade of the primary school came to Greece. He studied dentistry at university and got his degree, but never used it because he had already won the cinema. Since the beginning of 1972, still very young, he started working at "Finos Film" as an assistant director and proofreader. He was an assistant to Aleko Sakellariou, Dinos Dimopoulos, Giannis Dalianidis, Panos Glykofrydis and other great directors, with whom he learned cinema. However, he also studied cinema at the Stavrakos School, as well as at Ideck (Paris), film aesthetics and editing. With the support of the great Philopimenos Finos who had him as his child. From the age of eight he had started learning the guitar. He studied guitar and piano at the National Conservatory of Aspasia Kanatsouli. And at the age of 16 in 1971, he created his own band. A year later with his band, they are invited to play in an FF movie with Aliki Vougiouklaki and Alekos Alexandrakis, "Maria of Silence". Where he is fascinated by all this magical process and decides to enter the cinema knocking on the door of Philopimenos Finos. Along with the Stavrakos School (and dentistry) he enrolled in two schools in Athens (AKEM and Dim / ko Laboratory) to study journalism, which was his other great love. The first newspaper he worked for in 1974 was the "Acropolis". This was followed by "Apogevmatini", "Esperini", "Mesimvrini" by Vlachos, "Gnomi", "24 hours" and several more. While at the same time he wrote artistic issues in magazines of the time ("Thesaurus" - "Domino" - "Fantasy") While he also worked with the "Postman". In cinema he wrote the screenplays and directed 12 short and feature films, winning several international awards and distinctions. In 1977 he left "Finos Film" after Finos' death. However, since September 1974, with the intervention of Finos, he had been hired by ERT as an Advisor to the 1st General Director of the post-colonial regime, Dimitris Horn, and later an advisor to Angelos Vlachos. While from 1976 onwards he worked in the journalistic staff of ERT in the field of information. He has also been involved in writing. In the field of books he appears in 1977 writing the biography of Philopimenos Finos and immediately after the same year the biography of the rebetissa Rosa Eskenazy, followed by fifty-two books of historical and literary content, such as: "Immigration", "His History" Hellenic Cinema '', '' The Journey '', '' Good Day Freedom '', '' The Escape '' (Novel), '' The Lost Homelands '' (trilogy), '' The history of Rebetiko song '' ',' 'The history of Greek Television' ',' 'Stories from the lost Homeland' ',' 'Colors on the Pentagram' ', the Biography of the baritone John Modinos and many more (we quote a sample of a literary work). He has been awarded by the Academy of Athens, by the Sorbonne University, by the Presidents of the Republic, Konstantinos Tsatsos and Konstantinos Karamanlis, by the International Red Cross, by the Municipality of Athens, etc. He is the son of the well-known Alexandrian diplomat and later cotton merchant, Michael Kaloudas, and of the University Professor Maria Vogiatzis-Kaloudas and nephew of Virginia Choremi-Benaki. He speaks English-Italian-Arabic-Bulgarian. He is a member of the Society of Greek Directors, the ESPT, the Union of European Writers, the Association of Correspondents of the Greek Press Abroad, the Association of Magazine Owners and the A.E.P.I. with its lyrical quality. Publisher and owner of the newspapers: '' Athinaiki Echo '' - '' Edipsos and surroundings '' - '' Evoiki Echo '' - '' Nea tou Apodimou ''. He is the father of a son who graduated from a university in economics.
