Godswill Ekpolo on Greek News and Radio FL: "Cypriot football is rising every year"

How are you doing in Cyprus?
I'm fine. Thank God. I'm having a great time here in Cyprus. The level of football is rising every year, so it's great to be here.

Do you miss Sweden?
Yes, in some ways yes, because one of my best friends lives in Sweden, in Gothenburg. So sometimes I miss him, but now I'm here.

This weekend the Allsvenskan starts. Which team is the favorite?
Of course I watched the match between Hammarby IF and Mjällby AIF. It was a very good game and I think Hammarby is strong at the moment. But you never know, because the league is getting harder and harder every year. At the moment I think Hammarby is the favorite.

What do you think about your former team, BK Häcken?
I think they have made good transfers.
I hope they do well. I haven't seen them play yet, so when I see them I'll be able to say more. I hope they do better this year than last season, because it was difficult with the European competitions and the league at the same time. I think it was difficult to combine the two. This year they only have the league, so I hope they do better.

Would you like to return to Sweden and play there again?
Only God knows.

Do you miss Häcken?
Yes, I can say that it's like one of my homes, because they treated me very well there.

A comment on IFK Norrköping now that they are playing in Superettan?
It's sad, because it's a big club. Seeing them in Superettan is sad, but I hope they come back to Allsvenskan.

A comment on the Swedish national team?
Congratulations to the Swedish national team. I honestly didn't expect it, but I'm very happy for the Swedish people who will enjoy the team's participation in the World Cup.
