Η Καλλιόπη Ράικου γεννήθηκε το 1971 στην Αθήνα. Σπούδασε Συγκριτική Λογοτεχνία, Κλασσικές Σπουδές και Εκπαίδευση στη Μεγάλη Βρετανία, ενώ μετέπειτα επέστρεψε στην Ελλάδα όπου και εκπαιδεύτηκε ως δασκάλα πάνω στις ολιστικές προσεγγίσεις της ελληνικής ως ξένης γλώσσας. Παρόλα αυτά δε σταμάτησε εκεί, συνεχίζοντας τις πανεπιστημιακές της σπουδές πάνω στις Ειδικές Μαθησιακές Δυσκολίες και συγκεκριμένα πάνω στη Θεραπευτική χρήση της Τέχνης σε αυτές. Το 1997 βραβεύτηκε από το Υπουργείο Παιδείας και την Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή στο πλαίσιο της πρωτοβουλίας εκμάθησης γλωσσών με το European Label και παράλληλα έχει συνεκδόσει με εκπαιδευτικό της Αυστραλίας βιβλίο για τη Διασπορά. Αυτήν τη στιγμή διδάσκει σε μαθητές όλων των ηλικιών ανά τον κόσμο. Στη διαδρομή της έχει αποκτήσει δύο φωτεινούς ήλιους, τον Ορέστη και την Ηλέκτρα, ενώ η ίδια συνεχίζει να εκπαιδεύεται και κυρίως να παρατηρεί.
