We have stepped onto the second step of sweet June, with the most beautiful fruits of the season in their ripeness, our seas are calming down, so that we can roll playfully on them, our Sun, the most beautiful in the world, is increasingly beneficially warming us and attractively coloring us……
Summer is here and our first beloved tourist visitors, from almost every country on the planet, have flooded our Athens in plenty. While the "voluntary hostages" of our islands began waving their swimsuits as a sign of their arrival, as a handkerchief, as soon as the plane lands and the exit door opens.
There, from the platform or before the caravan ships enter the port of the island's capital, they scream enthusiastically, a genuine collective proclamation of absurdity, heralding and delightful youthful logic, completely acceptable as an effective, uplifting sound characteristic of happy people. As if they had escaped from somewhere where the galleys were their daily life.
It is true that our friends were a little late in showing up this year. And there was a slight concern that the War in the Middle East might divert their direction towards our Greece. But it was proven once again that our Greece is a safe haven for enjoyable holidays, even if we were, in the midst of fire, in other countries.
This year will be another year of goal and destination, more than any previous one. And we must prove ourselves, AND WE WILL PROVE ourselves, to be much better hosts to them.
