Students from the Greek Community Schools of Melbourne are awarded the "Premier's VCE Award"

Warm congratulations to the students of the Language and Culture Schools of the Greek Community of Melbourne, Savina Koumidi and Eleana Sklavenitis, which were honored with the award “Prime minister's VCE Award"for their excellent performance in the Greek language course during the 2024 school year.

The annual awards ceremony honors Victoria's top students for their achievements in Victorian Certificate of Educations (VCE) for the year 2024 was held on Wednesday, July 2, at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition CentreThe event was attended by official guests, including the Premier of Victoria, Jacinta Allan, and the Governor of Victoria, Margaret GardnerAll of them spoke with very warm words and congratulated the students for their dedication, perseverance and commitment to their goal.

This year, a total of 332 awards were presented to 310 students, in recognition of their dedication and effort in 93 different subjects. The Community Schools students were awarded for their outstanding performance in the Greek subject, as they achieved the two best scores in the whole of Victoria. They received their awards with enthusiasm, in the presence of their teachers and parents, who contributed decisively to their success with their continuous support.

At the Language and Culture Schools of the Greek Community of Melbourne, we are particularly proud of our students, Savvina Koumidi and Eleana Sklavenitis, and we warmly congratulate them on achieving this significant distinction.

Their success is a source of inspiration for all our students and reinforces our commitment to providing high-quality education and preserving the Greek language and culture.
