The illegal financial benefit is estimated to exceed the amount of -120.000- euros.
This specific case was implemented within the framework of the implementation of the National Business Plan (NBP) and the Operational Action EMPACT 2.2 EAST MED of the European Union policy cycle led by our country.
The Immigration Management Department of the Attica Aliens Directorate arrested, as part of a coordinated police operation that took place yesterday, Monday, December 1, 2025, in the Kypseli area, a 58-year-old foreigner, accused of forgery and violation of the legislation on aliens, on a continuing basis.
In particular, following a months-long investigation, following appropriate collection and utilization of information and data, the 58-year-old was identified as a high-priority suspect. (High Value Target), who At least since the beginning of 2024, he had organized a workshop for training forged documents, while also organizing illegal migrations, mainly to Italy.
Regarding the mode of action (modus modus) of him, the 58-year-old, having as a meeting point a shop-cafeteria in the Kypseli area, made most of his contacts with potential "clients".
In order to conceal his criminal activity, he maintained a house that he used as a "hideout", where he operated a complete laboratory for preparing false documents, which was located near the cafeteria, as a result of which he could control the access of individuals to it, while he also used a second house, which he used as a hiding place for potential individuals for illegal trafficking.
The 58-year-old concluded agreements for the illegal promotion of immigrants, at a cost that ranged from -2.000- to -3.500- euros per person, while from the trade in documents he earned from -600- to -900- euros per document, depending on its type and country of origin.
After receiving the agreed amount of money through money transfer companies, he prepared false travel documents, issued airline tickets and, where appropriate, transported the migrants to Athens International Airport.
In searches carried out in homes, in the presence of a judicial officer, all the laboratory's mechanical equipment was found and seized, as well as fake travel documents ready for distribution or preparation, specifically:
- -113- identity cards,
- -14- passports,
- residence permit and asylum card,
- -2- insurance cards,
- -130- stamps,
- -2- laptops,
- -4 portable digital data storage devices (USB),
- multifunction printer-scanner,
- -7- metal embossing dies,
- -5- ink impression stamps,
- -5- hand presses,
- -30- passport or ID type photos,
- a lot of stationery,
- -2- mobile phones,
- Private car and
- the amount of -1.925- euros.
It is estimated that the illegal financial benefit obtained by the accused exceeds the amount of -120.000- euros.
The seized documents and digital evidence will be sent to the Criminal Investigations Directorate for laboratory tests.

The arrested person, with the case file filed against him, was taken to the competent prosecution authority.
