María Isabel Pérez-Enríquez was born in México City, where she studied Primary, Secondary and High School till University. She studied Phylosophy at the Faculty of Phylosophy of the National Autonomos University of Mexico, also studied Master of Science in Rural Sociology and Doctorat at the Faculty of Political Sciences at the National University of México. She has been teacher in Social Design at the Grafical Design Carreer in the National University of Mexico, and in the Autonomous Metroplolitan University and Sociology in Autonomous University of Chiapas during thirty tree years. She has published LITERARIAN SUBVERSION OF CESAR VALLEJO, book of poetry LOVE IN TIMES OF WAR OF LOW INTENSITY. In Sociology, she has published THE IMPACT OF MIGRATORY MOVEMENTS AT THE HIGHLANDS OF CHIAPAS with the Autonomous University of Chiapas, RELIGIOUS EXPULSIONS by Claves Latinoamericanas, the colective book COOPERATIVISM, COLECTIVISM AND COUNTRY WOMEN IN MEXICO AND CUBA, in co-edition with the Autonomous Universtity of Chiapas and the Agrarian University of la Habana, Cuba. en co-edición entre la Universidad Autónoma de Chiapas y la Universidad Agraria de la Habana, Cuba. The recent book SUEÑOS, EXPERIENCIAS Y RESISTENCIA POLÍTICA DE MUJERES TSOTSILES ZAPATISTAS, (DREAMS, EXPERIENCES AND POLITICAL RESISTENCE OF MAYAN TSOTSIL ZAPATISTA WOMEN), coedited by Editorial Plaza y Valdes, and Colectivo Chikinte, speaks about the paper of women in this important movement in México since 1994.
