On the occasion of the celebration of the International Education Day, on January 24, 2022, the General Secretariat for Higher Education of the Greek Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs and the General Secretariat for Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs is organizing a webinar under the title: “Study in Greece Virtual Fair: Enhancing Bridges between Greek and U.S.A Universities” with a view to underlining the outward-looking efforts of the Greek Universities.
During the webinar, best practices regarding partnerships between Greek and U.S.A Universities will be presented as well as the Networks of Greek Academics in the U.S.A along with scholarships opportunities and international exchange programs. In the context of the event, Study in Greece will launch the “Study in Greece Virtual Fair”, which is based on a 3D virtual environment and is dedicated to the Greek Higher Education. Greek Universities will participate through their virtual booths, providing information for their international programs and answering the questions of the academic community. The virtual exhibition will be available throughout year 2022 at https://event.lansera.io/SiG-VF/home
During the webinar, the development and the results of the International Academic Partnership Program (IAPP) will be highlighted, a program which was launched by the Greek Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs in partnership and with the valuable support of the International Institute of Education (IIE), aiming to foster the establishment of synergies between American and Greek Universities. The webinar will also present the new services and functions of the platform Study in Greece, as a tool for the promotion of international partnerships of Greek universities.
Welcome messages will be addressed, among others, by Ms Niki Kerameos, Minister of Education & Religious Affairs, Mr. Christos Dimas, Deputy Minister for Research and Technology, Mr. Ioannis Chrysoulakis, Secretary General for Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy, and Mr. Apostolos Dimitropoulos, Secretary General for Higher Education. Representatives from the Embassies, representatives from the Greek and U.S.A Universities, as well as from the Networks of Greek Academics in the U.S.A will also participate in the webinar.
