To those who think that Greece does not matter today, let me say that they could not make a bigger mistake. Today, like old Greece, is of the utmost importance for anyone looking to find himself.

The hero of the heart

In a small village hidden deep in nature, there lived a boy, Philip, who loved animals and especially his horse, Astrapi as he called her.
He had a heart full of love and kindness, but until then he had never found his place in the circle of other children.
The residents considered him different, strange, and that he did not fit in with the beautiful image of their village.
Many times they had isolated him, laughing at his outward appearance and his innocence.

A quiet river crossed the village of Philippos and was like a breath of peace. It was part of life and its sound, like a melody of music.
One afternoon the sky suddenly darkened, clouds darkened the blue sky and the river, which until then had been flowing calmly, began to swell dangerously.
A strong wind brought the rain with fury, the water with the speed that only nature can manifest, began to occupy the banks and flood the village paths.

The panicked residents began to run to save themselves and everything else they could.
Philip, without caring about the danger, mounted his horse, Astrapi, and reached the areas that were most at risk.
With courage and boldness, he crossed the swollen waters and reached Grandma Maria's small house.
He carefully lifted her onto the saddle, gave her a blanket, and with great care led her to a safe place.

Then he turned back and with the same strength of soul he lifted two small children who were in danger onto his horse.
With the same boldness, he then ran, risking his life, to the small house where Grandpa Vasilis lived.
He was sitting on a terrace that had not yet reached the water level, unable to walk, his clothes wet and his hands trembling from cold and fear.

Philip quickly arrived, helped him carefully climb onto his horse, and stood behind him to hold him steady.
Grandpa  Basil She smiled at him weakly and gratefully.
"I didn't expect anyone to remember me at this difficult time, even here on the edge of the village where I live..." he whispered to Philippos, and his eyes filled with tears.
Philip didn't speak, he just smiled at him and held his hands tightly.

With his gaze fixed ahead and his heart full of determination, he crossed the flooded streets and led him to safety.
This bravery of his inspired others and soon they all worked together to protect the village.
When the storm passed and the waters receded, the village was now safe thanks to everyone's collective effort.

From that day on, Philip was, in the eyes of his fellow villagers, a symbol of courage and humanity.
He became a hero without realizing it, because he was the child with the brave heart who ran into the storm not to save himself, but to save those in danger.
It is not appearance or differences that determine a person's worth, but their actions and their heart.
