Maria Dollas is a Hellenic -American who has put the famous Greek passion for hospitality, entertaining and love of celebrations to good use through her event planning business. From diplomatic dinners featuring foreign dignitaries and heads of state to fundraisers, launch events and weddings, Maria has enjoyed every minute of her successful 20 year career. In addition to planning events, Maria has expanded her business to social media marketing, managing a number of prestigious accounts for various businesses in the hospitality industry, combing marketing strategy, writing and social media expertise for maximum results. Maria is a graduate of DePaul University and holds a B.A. in International Studies and French. She is fluent in Greek and French, and is conversationally proficient in Spanish and Russian. In addition, Maria is very passionate about cancer research, having lost her father to a rare but aggressive form of brain cancer. She is a member of the Malnati Brain Tumor Institute’s Advisory Board at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, helping raise awareness and funds for this devastating disease. Although she was born in the US, Maria is very proud of her family lineage from Kastoria, Greece and is grateful to be “made in the USA with a Greek soul.”
