The life, the work and the state of the President of the Body of Emeritus Professors KYRIA Stella Priovolou are so connected, coherent, aggregated so that her meaningful symbolic speech is LITERAL. Above the infinite co-significations, the guideline of ETHICS, which is ALSO AESTHETIC, is clearly inscribed.
Reading and re-reading this condensed, well-written, concise and comprehensive (in terms of the meanings presented) book, I wish that there were other similar poetic forms in our cultural becoming capable of positively, optimistically, dynamically affecting the surrounding atmosphere.
Whether she is talking about her granddaughter or about the forced confinement due to a pandemic or about her confidant friend (confessor, psychologist and fellow traveler on the difficult path of Virtue)... or she is talking about the spiritual work, Stella Priovolou is a continuous, single and indivisible figure in the critical space-time of our transitional era. Thus are SELF-INVENTED PEOPLE, who have smoothed the raw (at first) building block of their being.
Such are the cultured, deeply and truly educated people of our time and of all times.
As a craftsman, I admire this narrative simplicity, the result of many years of teaching in the theaters of life.
Love for one's neighbor is expressed as concern for the younger.
Self-love lurks as "nature hides and kisses."
Fullness is not hidden. Fulfilled people look AND are peaceful.
This is what existence radiates, this comes out through the pages of this "pocket book", which is as maximal as the co-representative surface it occupies.
The poor writer is heading towards a poetic writing, from the beginning (by definition) abstract.
Minimalism is not a weakness but a conquest.
Obvious theatricality.
The comparative study of Latin and Ancient Greek Literature gives this great text a monumental depth, like a cave temple.
