Ioanna Lekkakou
Innova educational leader with over two decades of experience in language program design, cultural diplomacy, and bilingual curriculum development across K–16 contexts in the United States and Greece. As Vice President of Hellenic and Classical Education at Odyssey Charter School (2,400 students), Dr. Lekkakou oversees and manages the only Greek Language Immersion School and Program in the United States, currently in full expansion mode. Under her leadership, the program has gained a national reputation for excellence, earning distinctions such as the STOP Award and funding from the Longwood Foundation in recognition of its outstanding academic outcomes and cultural impact.
Dr. Lekkakou is a published scholar and international presenter on Hellenic education, heritage language acquisition, and the integration of theater in language learning. She serves as a member of the High Council of Hellenic Education in the U.S., a contributor to ACTFL's Modern Greek standards, and Chair of Academics for global teacher training initiatives. She remains deeply committed to advancing cultural identity and multilingual excellence in global educational settings.
