Ioanna Lazarou was born in Athens and for the last twenty-five years has been living and working in Florida, United States. She is a writer, journalist, publisher and businesswoman, with many years of presence in the fields of information, communication, culture and the Greek diaspora.
He studied Journalism, Public Relations and Advertising and has completed training courses in European History and Art and Ancient Greek Philosophy at the Open University. He is a member of the Association of Greek Foreign Press Correspondents (EAETE), the Association of European Journalists for Media Independence and Transparency and the United Press Association Inc.
Since 2006, she has been the founder and president of Businessrise Group and Businessrise Growth, while since 2012 she has been active as the publisher of Businessrise Publishing House. At the same time, she is the founder and publisher of Greek News & Radio FL and radio producer of the online station radio.greekradiofl.com. Through its publishing, journalistic and radio initiatives, it promotes Greek culture, the arts, literature and contemporary Greek creation in the United States and among the Greek diaspora. He has also written articles for "Echo tis Florinas" and other printed and online media.
Her writing includes the book "Cooking with My Grandson", which was published in Greek and English. This was followed by "Healthy Mediterranean Recipes" and "Mediterranean Birthday Recipes", as well as the novel "You, Who Left Too Soon". Works that have been published or are in the process of being published include "The System", "I Deny", "Stories That Didn't Ask for Permission", works dedicated to Saint Mark and Saint Catherine, as well as cookbooks. In "Healthy Mediterranean Recipes" he collaborated with pulmonologist Dr. Robinson for promoting Greek herbs and the Mediterranean diet in the medical community.
Social contribution is a constant axis of its action. She has taken on the role of Goodwill Ambassador in Miami, has supported the "Orizontas" Association for children with cancer and participates in charitable initiatives. As president of the Hellenic Diaspora Group, he works to support and guide the Greek diaspora. The Group's action has received recognition and support from the International Action Art of the Group for UNESCO of Piraeus and the Islands. He has also completed a training seminar on the care and support of people with dementia and the empowerment of their caregivers.
For her writing and social work, she has received significant honors. The books "Cooking with My Grandson" and "Healthy Mediterranean Recipes" have won awards in international book competitions in Los Angeles. The publication of the book "Cooking with My Grandson" was linked to her charitable contribution to the "Orizontas" Association for children with cancer, contributing to the strengthening of its work. She has also been honored with first prize in a global book competition in California for her contribution to the "Different but Alike" campaign. Her journey has been featured in American print and electronic media, including the Miami Herald, South Florida Sun Times, and South Florida Gourmet.
